Kindergarten Playdates!

Come meet some new friends before the start of school at the Brown School playground! The PTO will be there with popsicles & information! Come to one or all!

Our incoming kindergarten playdates are right around the corner!

We will have color-coded name tags by teacher so you spot your new classmates. We also encourage you to wear the color that matches your teacher name below!

  • Purple - Mrs. Miller

The dates are as follows, all at the Brown School playground. Come to as many as you like!

Animal Adventures Visits 2nd Grade

In May, our second graders had a visit from Animal Adventures! They learned about and had the chance to pet the following animals: gecko, hedgehog, lizard, ferret, chinchilla (the second-softest animal in the world!), snake and alligator! Animal Adventures is an exotic animal rescue with the mission to provide a home to unwanted and unable to be cared for animals, while educating the public about these animals.

Geodome Visits 4th Grade

Fourth graders enjoyed a visit from the Geodome Workshop. Students participated in the construction of several two-story geodesic domes seating 30 people! Learn more about Dr. Bagwell and the program here!

Wingmasters

Our first-graders enjoyed a visit from Wingmasters and learned about birds of prey, including visits from lots of real-life birds!

Before break, our first-graders enjoyed a visit from Wingmasters and learned about birds of prey, including visits from lots of real-life birds! The program is designed to explain predation, the birds' place at the top of the food web, their different hunting adaptations, and their status in a rapidly changing world. This presentation also features one or more of the endangered raptors that we care for, and explains why these species face an uncertain future.

Brown School Day At The Railers

Brown Day at the Railers is Sunday, April 7!

Congratulations to our fourth grade chorus for singing the national anthem at the Railers game on April 7! The Railers went on to win 9-5 against the Maine Mariners! Way to go Railers and Brown Bears! And thank you to everyone who came out to support the event!


Sunday, April 7th at 3:05 PM our Brown school 4th graders have been invited to sing the National Anthem to kick off the Worcester Railers hockey game at the Railers rink in Worcester! Come out to support your friends and watch the game with other Brown School families! After the game, stick around for an autograph signing session with Worcester Railer hockey players!

All those entering the rink need a ticket. Tickets are $22 ($3 from each ticket will go back to the Brown PTO!) and can be purchased at this link: https://fevo-enterprise.com/event/Natickschools

Music, entertainment, and Games provided by DJ Peter. This community event is FREE to attend with a donation of a canned good or box of cereal to A Place to Turn, a food pantry on Hartford St. in Natick. Their most requested canned goods include canned chicken, tuna, and canned fruit.

Discovery Museum Visits Kindergarten

The Discovery Museum visited Brown School this week to teach kindergarteners about Force & Motion. The kids explored concepts of force and motion and experimented with the effects of forces, such as gravity and friction. They even got to engineer and experiment with their own toys!

Paul Revere House Visits 3rd Grade

Third graders had a visit with Paul Revere House to explore the facts and fiction surrounding the story of Paul Revere's Midnight Ride!

This week, our 3rd graders had a visit with Paul Revere House to explore the facts and fiction surrounding the story of Paul Revere's Midnight Ride! With the addition of some fun costumes, our Brown Bears retraced Revere's route as they took on the roles of Paul and Rachel Revere, their children, British soldiers, rowers, Samuel Adams, John Hancock, and others!

Attention 4th Grade Families!

Submit your yearbook photos!

Calling all 4th grade parents: we are still looking for yearbook photos - including baby photos!

Thank you to those who have already submitted photos for the 2024 4th grade Brown school yearbook! We want to make sure all students are represented at least once in candid shots from around school and school activities. If you have not yet submitted any photos for the yearbook, please email 1-2 photos that include your 4th grader to brownptonatick@gmail.com with the subject line "yearbook photos." We are looking for photos from Brown school events (fun run, pancake breakfast, book fair, chorus concert, field trips, classroom events, etc). The yearbook team requests you send photos by March 10th.

EVERY 4th-grade family is also invited to submit one pre-elementary school photo. Please name the photo file with your student's "firstname.lastname" and email to brownptonatick@gmail.com.
